She finally got what she needed, at least that’s how she felt. The final straw had finally been pulled and now she felt that they had gotten to the end of the road. She knew she had held on for longer than she should have, but she finally felt that she could let go. She could move on to the next one, next chapter, the next stage of her life.
She wished it hadn’t gone like this though, but she knew that she wouldn’t always get what she wanted. She wanted something that he wasn’t willing to give, or maybe just not ready to, but what she did know was that she couldn’t stay much longer. She had been stagnant for way to long, progressing in everything else, but the one thing that she needed to the most. There wasn’t any hard feelings though, what’s the point? Why hold a grudge? The love was still there. It would always be there. But that same love is what she needed to move on. To move on…
To her next car. Sitting in her car, waiting for the breakdown people to come, she watched snaps of all her friends enjoying the party. The party that she had planned. The party that she had put time and effort into. The party that was happening without her. If only she had taken her uncle up on that chance to get a new one, she would have been there enjoying with the rest of them. She just hadn’t been ready to give him up yet. But this was one breakdown too many and she had had enough. She would always love him though. I mean, you always love your firsts, right?
